BEHAVIORAL HEALTH THERAPY

Behavioral Health Therapy is designed to provide

psychotherapeutic services to individuals and families. We provide insight oriented, individualized care to help improve family dynamics, feelings related to anxiety, sadness, trauma, or difficulty excelling in a school or work environment. Additionally, clinicians work with clients and their families to assist in the alleviation of symptoms related to oppositional and maladaptive behaviors. The provision options for Behavioral Health Therapy are as follows:

  • Individual and family Therapy is provided bi-weekly for one-hour to meet the individual needs of recipients.
  • Therapeutic Behavioral Onsite Services (TBOS) is provided 1-2 times weekly for one hour, with a maximum of 9 hours monthly to meet the individual needs of clients.

Behavioral Health Therapy services are provided to clients and their families.

The role of the therapist is as follows:
 
  • Promoting Wellness: Educating recipients on attaining balance with regard to their physical and emotional wellness by engaging in the use of healthy coping skills as well as engagement and implementation of healthy lifestyle choices.
 
  • Promoting Recovery: Educating recipients on overcoming, managing, and growing from symptoms of mental health diagnosis or diagnoses including medication management, abstaining from use of alcohol and illicit drugs, making informed and healthy choices that support physical and emotional well-being, maintaining healthy relationships with self and others, as well as maintaining an appropriate level of care for self in a way that promotes positive self-growth.
 
  • Promoting Resiliency: Educating recipients on their existing strengths and abilities and building upon these strengths and abilities by aiding in the implementation and use of positive self-care, self-soothing techniques, as well as the ability to recover from past traumas.

Behavioral Health Therapy is designed to provide

Therapeutic behavioral on-site services are intended to prevent recipients who have complex needs from requiring placement in a more intensive, restrictive behavioral health setting. These services are coordinated through individualized treatment teams and are designed to assist recipients and their families.

Behavioral Health Therapy services are provided to clients and their families.

Therapeutic behavioral on-site services are intended to maintain the recipient in the home (permanent or foster). Services are limited to recipients under the age of 21 years meeting specific eligibility criteria.
